General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Anti-tuberculosis drugs to be taken for 6-9 months. The given chest X-ray report is suggestive of tuberculosis of the lungs. Your doctor will further evaluate the condition and prescribe the standard treatment for about six to nine months depending upon the severity of the disease.

In the initial phase (for first two months) isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide along with vitamin pyridoxine are given daily. And this is followed by continuation phase (for remaining four to seven months) isoniazid, rifampicin along with vitamin pyridoxine are given.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
