What Is The Medication For Swollen And Red Ear After Gun Shot To Ear?

I got my traigus pierced back in August, I didn't have any problems with it until the end of October. I took out the jewelery and went to the doctor. They gave me an antibiotic that did not help and I was put on a different one. I just finished it and it doesnt seem to be red or pussing anymore but it is extremely swollen and uncomfortable. My neck right underneath that ear is starting to hurt also.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that there is infection on the earlobe leading to swelling and discomfort and the hurting of the neck area can be due to inflammation of the lymph nodes secondary to infection and inflamamtion..
I would suggest you to consult a general physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..
In case if there is infection you can be advised a course of stronger painkiller like Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, applying a steroid and antibiotic ointment over the earlobe and do cool compresses..
You can also be advised injection of antibiotics and steroids for relief from the symptoms faster..
Avoid wearing anything he ear piercing..
Maintain clean area and do not scratch it again and again as it can add up to the discomfort..
