My brother in law is having 24% heart pumping due to thickening of heart muscles It has also been found that he is having a cancer also and has undergone chemotherapy for 3 months and now has become very week His heart pumping in recent echo test is 24% only. He is often retaking water and his legs and sometime stomach also retain water and he is hospitalised for this We know he is having serious problems can you give under such conditions what life expectancy can be expected This condition is going on since March 16 and he has been operated and ICD has been fitted last year Can we expect few years in such conditio

Yes, you can. Let him have a disciplined life. Salt intake is an absolute no. Keep the water and fluid intake low. Insist on solids. Have regular compliance of cardiac drugs, visit cardiologist as per schedule, do meditation and avoid stress.
