What Is The Cure For The Thick Yellowish Discoloration Of Nails In Toe?

a few years ago, I hit the front of my big toe nail. the nail turned black and fell off. the new nail grew back and over time the first 3/8 of the nail near my toe is normal. the rest of the nail is a thick, yellow, green color. what can I do to get rid of the thick, discolored nail portion?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It may be fungal and pseudomonas infection of nail. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

I would recommend you to apply antifungal like clotrimazole lotion and antibacterial like Clindamycin lotion on nails twice a day. And Take antifungal cap itraconazole 100 mg daily for few months.

Hope this helps.
