What Is The Cure For Swelling In Superior Labial Frenulum?

My Superior labial frenum is swollen.? ( the little flap that connects my gum to my upper lip) It hurts to talk, chew and open my mouth too wide. What is the cause of this? How can I fix this ? Do i need a medical procedure to solve the problem? How do I Reduce the swelling ?

Hello,
As you are mentioning that your superior labial frenum is swollen, there can be two reasons for this swelling,
-It can be possible that your upper front tooth may be infected
-Second it can be possible that your labial frenum must have got hurt by hard food.
I think you should first apply a topical ointment named mucopain on it and if it does not heal within 1 week than you should visit your dentist for the treatment of infection.
