What Is The Cause Of Sharp Pain In Head With Nausea Followed By Spotty Vision?

Hi my name is Sinead, I have had spotty vision as if i was just after looking at a bright light this lasted for about 15~20 mins followed by a sharp pain at the top and side of my head then nausea.i had this last week too lasted for the same amount of time.. Do u think this could be a serious problem.

Hello,
The symptoms which you have mentioned like headache, nausea followed by spotty vision are all suggestive of migraine headache.
In migraine headache patient will have visual symptoms like spotty vision as a part of prodromal symptoms, headache will be typically associated with nausea.

Though migraine is not a serious problem, this requires treatment as recurrent attacks of headache will affect your life.
