What Is The Cause Of Blood In Stools?

I fear for the worst. I've been too embarassed to deal with my blood in my stool for the past few months, and have also been suffering from chronic gas. Does that sound like colon cancer? Is there anything less sever it could be that I can at least ease my mind with until diagnosis?

Hello,welcome to HCM,
The best answer to your problem is get a stool examination done followed by colonoscopy assisted biopsy if any ulcer or tumour,as per your history it looks like some infection in intestine (colitis) meet a local doctor and get checked locally by proctoscopy and if required plan for colonoscopy the diagnosis will be clear.
Thanks
