What Is The Cause For The Bruise On My Stomach?

sure you can hopefully help me I already saw the nurse practitioner today at my clinic and she told me the bruise on my stomach possibly was caused during my sleep and I was fighting with something..I live alone and no furniture is near my bed but I woke up two days ago with the biggest darkest bruise I have ever seen on my stomach it is in the shape of a foot and I am 65 so it can't be pregnant any answers..

Hi,

The bruise on your stomach could be related to local injury. As you live alone, you cannot remember if you have woken up at night and maybe hit to something.

Unless, you are using any medication (blood thinner for example) that can increase chances for bruising/bleeding.

If you are not having any pain, or other symptoms, then, the bruising will be gone within few days.

I suggest to apply cold compresses for a couple of days (today and tomorrow); if the bruising is still there, can apply heparin cream clear it up.
