What Is The Cause For Pain In The Rib After An Injury Without Bruises?

Good evening! I took fying lessons off my horse a week ago, landing hard on my head and shoulder. Luckily he threw me on the grass and not the road. But it's my rib that hurts so bad, even worse than my pride. My hip is all bruised but doing much better, but the area under my right breast hurts all the way around to my back. A couple of days ago I sneezed and thought I would loose my mind, it hurt so bad! How long before I can move without crying and why does it hurt so much worse where there is no bruise?

Hi. This looks to be fracture of rib/s with involvement of the nerve with the rib/s. Such a sever pain can be explained by this only. May be as a protective measure, the muscles have gone into spasm casing rib/s to fracture. Needless to say you need so many X-rays and be under the treatment of an Orthopedic Surgeon.
