Brief Answer:
Bloating can be suggestive of abdominal injury.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for choosing HealthcareMagic for your query.
Have gone through your deatils and i appreciate your concerns.

As per your query-
Broken ribs can cause inflammation in surrounding thoracic area.If left untreated this soreness and inflammation can spread to abdominal area.As abdomen is present just below thorax there are chances of a direct or indirect injury to abdominal organs.Bloating can be a sign of such injury.
However initially you should go to the nearest emergency room and get a X ray chest done to role out if its a rib fracture or dislocation.
For symptomatic relief in bloating take tab omeprazole 40 mg and tums twice daily(OTC).
In case you are feeling pain or soreness take Tylenol one tablet(can be taken upto 4 tablets a day) and visit the nearest emergency room.

Please note-The left lower ribs are near the spleen stomach and kidneys. Rib fractures can cause internal damage to these organs. In case you feel pain in abdomen or black colored stool take it as a sign of abdominal injury and go for a ultrasonogram asap.

Hope i answered your query well.

Regards.
