What Is The Cause For Heart Palpitations And Cold Sweats After Cervical Fusion?

I had cervical fusion between c4 and c5 four days ago and am now experiencing heart palpitations and cold sweats, is this something that could be from not taking the vicodin today. Is it something i should worry about. My food intake has been low do to sore throat.

Dear patient,

Thanks for the query. If you have been taking the Vicodyn on a very regular basis, then these could be signs of withdrawal; if after taking the next dose of Vicodyn things settle down, then it is very likely related to that.

I would encourage you to monitor the symptoms and alert your provider if these worsen

Hope that helps, wish you the best,
