What Is The Cause For Fever?
Hi, My 1 year old baby is diagnosed with UTI and given oflox 40mg BD. On routine R/E pus cells full of field. HB 7.8 .Her wEIGHT IS 10 KG. She has fever which not treated even after 2 days of oflox therapy. It comes after every 4-5 hours after giving antipyretics. what to do?

Hi,
As she is having severe UTI, it takes 2-3 days to start giving it effect.
Once antibiotic started fully, infection starts subsiding and then she will get relief from fever and other symptoms.
Give enough water and milk.
She is having low hemoglobin so afterwards consult your doctor and go for treatment of anemia.
Ok and take care.
