What Is The Cause And Treatment For Tearing Skin On The Fingers?

hi my mother has a problem of tearing of in the fingers of hand just above the base of nails, it is very painfull, doctor s identified it as infection and allergies, have prescribed some antibiotic creams but it is not curing what is this? please help

Hello,

From your description, it sounds like your mother is suffering from eczema, which has increased and probably gotten infected. Please try to note what is causing the allergy. Commonly, detergents, cleaning solutions, certain spices, acidic foods etc can cause it.

It's also necessary to check for fungal infection. For now, keep the affected parts dry and protected from chemicals. Do make sure her sugar levels are normal. All allergies are generally recurrent. Apply the antibiotics. Take an allergy tablet like Levocetrizine 5mg at night.
