Scoliosis is curving of the spine.The causes include-it can be congenital due to problem formation of spine bones.Neuromuscular scoliosis reults from muscular weakness,paralysis due ti cerebral palsy,muscular dystrophy,polio.Sometimes t5he cause remains unknown.Treatment depends upon the cause of scoliosis,the type and degree of curve.Bracing is usually recommended to help slow the progression of the curve.The exact kind of brace can be selected by the doctor only.Surgery involves the correcting of the curve and the choice of when to have surgery varies.
