What Is The Alternate For Knee Replacement?
I am asking in favour of one of my close relatives. She is married- 53 years old with a son, hgight 5'1", weight 67 kgs. She is suffering from serious knee pain in both legs, sometimes it gets locked. After consultation with various surgeons I understand that "Cartilage between the knee bones is almost dried up". Surgeons are recommending urgent knee replacement. To avoid such operation, I would like to know if there is any alternative medicine to get permanent relief. If not, is there any medicine to get relief from knee pain until the knee is replaced. Awaiting your medical advice quickly. Regards,

Hi,
If her knee is so bad then the final solution is --JOINT REPLACEMENT.
HOWEVER, if u want to postpone this surgery , u have the following options:
1) Rest, quadriceps exercises ( avoid sitting crosslegged, squatting )
2) Intra articular steroid injection should make her feel better for about 3 - 4 months.( THIS IS A GOOD OPTION )
