What Is My Pap Test Result Suggestive Of?

My pap from a month ago state they found predominance of coccobacilli is consistent with shift in vaginal flora. Is this contagious or does it cause warts to pop because nothing else was found. What do I do to get rid of this problem. My doctor hasn t explain it to me. Just a letter in mail.

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
A shift in vaginal flora may be caused by inappropriate douching like using funny detergents or soap or local vaginal infection.Douching with simple clean water is enough as the vagina has its own self cleaning mechanisms. It is not a contagious disease. Coccobaccilli will not cause warts.warts are caused by HPV.A Pap test is used to determine precancerous lesions at the cervix. This is mostly seen in women with HPV infection.Even though Pap smear does not test for HPV, it identifies cellular changes caused HPV infection.A normal test eliminates HPV and thus less risk for warts.
Predominance of coccobacilli suggest a shift in vaginal flora and is mostly seen in bacteria vagonosis. Treatment is with antibiotics and anti-fungi medications. You may meet your Doctor for prescription.Further tests to eliminate an STI like chlamydia may be considered.
