What Happens When You Get High For The 1st Time?

with marijuana I mean People say you choke and gag and cough and stuff and you don t get high because you don t inhale right but im already a bit of a cigarette smoker so would I still choke and cough etc? will I get high if I inhale like I do with cigarettes or is it a defferent technique? also if I get like 8-10 hours of sleep after I toke will I be okay the next day?
