What Dosage Of Duphaston Should Be Taken While Trying To Conceive?

Good evening,I recently had a polyps removed and D&C. My progesterone levels are very low and I was diagnosed with PICOS. I m trying to conceive so my gynaecologist prescribed me Dupbaston 10mg to be taken from my 5th day of cycle for 3 months. Unfortunately I have forgotten if I was supposed to take one tablet for 10 days or two tablets for how long? Now I m on my 7th day of cycle can I still start taking Dupbaston for 10 days?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Duphaston can be used to maintain the progesterone levels in menstrual cycle.
If you are trying to conceive from this cycle itself usually progesterone tablets are prescribed during the second half of the cycle.
But, if the duphaston tablets are only prescribed to maintain the progesterone levels you can take as advised by your doctor.
Generally they might have prescribed one tablet a day from 5th day onwards, even if you start from 7th day there may not be any major difference.
So, in this cycle you can start from 7th day and from next cycle you can follow your doctor's advice.
