Hi,
If you have always had regular 28-30 day cycles, you had the intercourse just around your fertile or ovulatory period. Yet, it is too early to detect a pregnancy unless you have been plotting the basal body temperature from day one of your cycle. In such an instance, the rise in temperature following ovulation persists if conception occurs. This is the earliest way to detect pregnancy. Please remember, preejaculate contains enough sperm to cause conception during the ovulation period. You can wait for your next period and get a HPT 3-7 days later if you miss it or go for a blood test one week prior to your expected period. Hope this helps.
