What Does This Widal Test Report Indicate?

Sir, my husband, age 31 got his widal test report last night, in this, TO is 1:80 +, TH,AH,BH:1:40+. Doctor said its typhoid. Please advise as he had high fever of 103-104 for last four days and was taking malidens650 with vitamin b tablets. Got platlets count checked oncr on saturday then it was 208000 and as per yesterday s report it is 1 lakh 22 thousand.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
Typhoid value 1:80 is importance and should be repeat after 7 days to confirm the typhoid fever.
But decrease in platelet count could be due to viral infection like dengue, chickengunya.
I would suggest to consult the primary physician go for blood testing for above cause.
Take tablet cefuroxime
Drink plenty of water, eat healthy diet.
Take proper bed rest
Sponging for the fever.
