What Does This Vaginal Ultrasound Report Indicate?

I am pregnant. Approx 6 weeks preg. Went to er three nights ago with pain. Hcg level was 7000 but on vaginal ultrasound could only see the gest sac. There was no fetal pole. They said I most likely am having a miscarriage but I still haven t started bleeding. What do u think

HI,
I understand your concern.
USG scan showing an empty gestational sac without a fetal pole suggests blighted ovum / chemical pregnancy without formation of an embryo. In such case many a times there is spontaneous expulsion of sac Or evacuation
You can get a follow up sacn after a week to confirm the diagnosis & go for evacuation as per your doctor's advise.
