What Does This Uterus Scan Report During Pregnancy Indicate?

Hi Doctor, My wife is pregnant for about 8weeks now and we took a scan and it has the information below.The uterus is Gravid, Anteverted,marginaly bulky with non-uniform myometrial echo-pattern.
It measures about 66mm in AP diameter
There is a well -defined gestational sac noted in the uterine cavity measuring about 39mm in its longest diameter with a viable fetal pole noted within it.
CRL=18m=8W+4d, EDD=15/04/2012±2W.
Fetal cardiac activity is noted.
Fetal limb movement is noted
Both adnexae are free bilaterally
There is an anterior sub-serous myoma noted towards the left cornual part of the uterus.
it measures about 47mm X 40mm in size.
The pouch of douglas is free.
The general uterine outline is inconsistent.

CONCLUSION:
1. ON-GOING SINGLETION
2. G.A OF 8WEEKS APPROXIMATELY
3.EDD =15/04/2012±2W
4. SUB-SEROUS FIBROID


Kindly help us read the scan and explain what we need to do.

Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum
I understand your concern. You need to focus on sub serous fibroid rather than the foetus in this report.
Though elective surgeries are not performed during first trimester can be done in second trimester if absolutely necessary.
So, you need to consult a gynaecologist for opinion regarding this to whether to continue pregnancy with the fibroid or does it need removal as most of the times the pregnancy is continued with it.
