Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Fertigyn 5000 injection is chorionic gonadotrophin. It helps to maintain progesterone production, which is essential for continuation of pregnancy. It is usually given to women who are pregnant and have suffered previous miscarriages and those who have spotting in early pregnancy. It helps to maintain pregnancy in its early stage. In your case, it is being given as rate of growth appears to be slower and it is required to maintain pregnancy in its initial stage until the placenta can be formed. There are chances that it may lead to miscarriage if Fertigyn is not given. This injection is usually advised to be taken up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. No need to be worried much and regular follow-up would be necessary in your case until the completion of 1st trimester. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
