Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Results from a recent transabdominal and endovaginal ultrasound shows a posterior wall (1.0 cm) fibroid, a right lateral anterior wall (2.0 cm) and a 2.7 cm submucosal fibroid which displaces the endometrial lining anteriorly. What does all this mean?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. After going through the ultrasound report you have posted, it says that you have 3 fibroids. They are however small in size. One of them is extending inwards towards the uterine cavity. It would be better to get them excised by means of surgery. In case you leave it alone, it will grow bigger in size and it is also associated with various complications. Surgery can be done by laparoscopy. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for proper management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All tue best.
