What Does This Ultrasound Report Of The Neck Signify?
I HAVE BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM IN MY NECK RECENTLY. I WENT TO HAVE AN ULTRASOUND OF MY NECK AREA AND THEY MENTIONED A: Overall there is an enlarged thyroid gland with a heterogeneous appearance. Findings are suggestive of a multinodular gland. One small cyst is seen in the midportion of the right lobe. 2 DAYS AFTER THAT EXAM MY NECK STARTED TO PERIODICALLY FEEL LIKE IT WAS ENLARGING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING BACK AND FORTH FROM AT ONE MOMENT TO FEELING LIKE IT WAS GETTING BIGGER TO OTHER TIMES IT SEEMS ALMOST NORMAL AND DOESNT BOTHER ME HARDLY AT ALL. you are suffering from hyperthyroidism that too due to MNG..the nodules will enlarge.to destroy the nodule,surgery is needed or radioactive iodine...if u take the treatment it will completely cure .dont worry.all d best
