Hi,

This ultrasound report indicates that both fetal kidneys are showing mild pelvi-calyceal dilatation. The right kidney measures 4.2mm and the left kidney measures 5mm.

* The severity of this problem is described as "mild," which means it is not a major concern, but it still requires follow-up.
* The reason for this problem can vary, but it is often caused by a blockage or obstruction that prevents urine from draining properly from the kidneys to the bladder.
* The measured value for a normal fetal kidney can vary depending on the gestational age, but generally, the pelvi-calyceal system should be less than 5 mm in diameter before 32 weeks and less than 7 mm after 32 weeks.
* The prognosis for this condition depends on the severity and underlying cause. Mild cases often resolve on their own, but more severe cases may require treatment, such as antibiotics or surgery.
* It's important to follow up with your healthcare provider for further evaluation and management. They will be able to provide more specific information based on your individual situation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

The ultrasound report of the baby shows mild dilatation of pelvi-calyceal of right kidney. This is probably a congenital disorder and may have to be managed after birth. The baby will have normal life but there may be problem of urinary tract infection in future due to this dilatation. I suggest you to consult a pediatric surgeon for further course of action.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
