What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

Please I did an ultrasound scan due to me not seeing my period for two months now. The scan says; There is a normal size, anteverted non- gravid uterus measuring 7.6x3.5x4.8cm with uniform myometrium and demonstrable mid line echoes. Both ovaries and adnexae appears grossly normal. The urinary bladder also appears normal There is no significant fluid collection in the pouch of douglas. In particular, no intra of extra uterine gestational sac is seen. I experience abdominal pain like my period, but no period for two months. What could be the cause?

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. Going by the sonogram report, there is no obvious pelvic cause to account for the absence of the periods. It is essentially a normal report. Therefore, I would ask you to see a specialist for a proper evaluation and plan further management. You need hormone assays, blood counts, urinalysis, weight and stress management to help out with your problem. Finally, induction can be tried using hormone medication. Hope this helps.
