I had a hysterectomy in 1988 and my tubes and ovaries removed in 1998. Recently, I was experiencing some pelvic pain and frequent urination problems. I had a trans-vaginal ultrasound done and the impression statement was: "Prior history of bilateral hysterectomy and oophorectomies with adnexal structures present bilaterally suggestive of normal bilateral ovaries." Next, I had a CT scan with contrast. The impression statement was: "1.     Small fat containing ventral hernia with a diastasis of 1 cm, 2.     A small cyst is seen in the adnexal bilaterally in this patient who reportedly has had oophorectomies. These cysts were not seen on a pelvic ultrasound performed on 01/09/12. Cysts are 8 mm each side." What other tests do I need? How can I be certain this isn't cancer? Will these conditions require surgery?
