What Does This Nuclear Stress Test Report Mean?

Hi ,I am a 38 year old male.I had a nuclear stress test done two weeks ago and despite excellent exercise capacity ,obtaining 14.5 METS the Sestamibi scintigraphy revealed: inhomogenous distribution of moderate to large area of inferior septal, inferior apical and posterior lateral hypo perfusion of moderate intensity.Delayed imaging at rest reveals repercussion of the inferior apical and posterior lateral segments with persistent hypopefusion of the inferior septal segment.Sestamibi scintigraphy reveals evidence of inferior posterior infarction and peri infarction ischemia with preserved systolic function. Can you please tell me if that means I ve had a silent heart attack and if it gives an indication of the magnitude of damage? Thank you!

Hello,

Your nuclear imaging shows an area of heart where possibilities of heart attack are high. You should consult a cardiologist personally for further treatment options to avoid any damage to hear.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
