What Does This Liver Function Test Report Specify?

I am biju from chennai l take LFT report yesterday gamma gt level is 508ul and sgot 93IU/l sap153IU/l and the total bilirubin 2.4mgs lam drinking alcohol everyday so pls give me advise what to do last two year before I taken same report and taken the medicines for two months

Hi Biju,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The report you have mentioned about your liver function test is indicative of alcoholic liver disease, which would progress to liver damage and liver cell failure.
Bilirubin level is increased, SGOT level is double the normal, alkaline phosphatase level is also increased and the key enzyme gamma GT is grossly increased.
You need to stop alcohol completely. Otherwise you will land up in complications associated with it by causing damage to the liver in particular.
