What Does This Creatine/protein Ratio Of 0.2 Indicate?

Hi DR, I had acute renal failure in 6 years back. Creatinine reduced from 2.1 to 1.5 after controlling BP. Thereafter taking BP medicine to control Blood pressure. Creatinine was maintained 1.2 to 1.4. Kidney size left-10.3 and right 9.8. But recent ultrasound shows small right kidney 6.8 with renal bilateral grade 1 desease. Creatinine is 1.54 (Max.1.25) , no protien or alumin in the urine. Normal urine test. Creatine /protien ration 0.2, hb-14.9. all other tests are normal. will it be cured ? Please help me on this.

Hi,

It isn't so much cured as the direction it is going. You draw a series of points of the creatinine versus the date. If it is going up that is bad, but you can estimate how fast it is going. If it is going downward, then it is fine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
