Hi Doctor,I just got my medical record for X-ray and it says Chest-PA: There is an ovoid opacity overlying the right 9th posterior rib which may represent a bone island or calcified granuloma. No active parenchymal infiltrates. And it suggets here for Pulmonology consult. Is it dangerous or what? My chest aches alot btw.

Thanks for contacting healthcare magic..

As you mention there is radiopacity in your chest x ray that one may be tuberculose granuloma or other lung infection condition.

So consent a pulmonologist for further treatment.
You don't mention a other symptoms like cough ,fever and type of pain....etc

I hope my guidance helpful to you..
Take care.
