What Does This Blood Test Report Mean?

A 50-year-old man with no apparent health problems who is moderately active and normal weight has the following blood values: high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol = 30 mg/dL, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol = 160 mg/dL, and triglycerides = 300 mg/dL.

Thank you for the question.When total cholesterol is greater than 200 mg/dl & LDL is greater than 160 mg/dl,we need to start medication to lower the lipid levels in the body.As per your reports it is better to visit physician to rule out other co morbidities & assess the health status before prescribing the medication.
