What Does This Blood Report Indicate?

Hello Doctor! I am 33 years old women I am worried about my health the day before i have done my CBC investigation and my RBC is slightly High but MCV and MCH is low Haemoglobin:     119 g/L ( 115 - 155 ) RBC:     5.97 x10e12/L ( 3.60 - 5.60 ) H HCT:     0.37 L/L ( 0.35 - 0.46 ) MCV:     61 fL ( 80 - 99 ) L MCH:     19.9 pg ( 27.0 - 33.0 ) L I am worried because Doctor told me it indices possible thalassaemia or haemoglobinopathy I hope you will help me to clear my quires and also suggest me how can I increase that MCV and MCH balue in blood Thank you

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your reports you have MCV and MCH is low & RBC count is high. you would be advised to do tests to evaluate any haemoglobinopathy or thalessemia. However these values can also be in iron deficency anemia also. Iron deficiency anemia is also common in middle age woman.

Meanwhile you could take foods high in iron such as spinach, green leafy vegetables, peas etc.
