What Does This X Ray Report Indicate?
PA view X-ray of my daughter shows that bronchovascular markings are prominent in both the lung fields. She catches cough every year (normally at start of winter) and after a lot of anti-biotics and other medicinies, cough get cured in 20-30 days. What does this x-ray report mean ?

Prominent bronchovascular markings in both lungs on a chest X ray may be due to bronchitis which is an inflammation of smaller airways. This means that there is some irritation within the small air passages called bronchi. The cells in these airways get irritated by allergens and dust and produce biomolecules like cytokines as an immune response. Histamine is also released as a normal reaction to the allergy causing agents. This inflammation is seen as prominent bronchovascular markings.
