Doc I was diagnosed with PTB last year and I have finished the 6months treatment. When I got my x-ray result recently it says in the findings that fibroids infiltrates both apex. But the impression says PTB Minimal both apex. What does that mean? Please help me. Thank you!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have read your query thoroughly. The fibrosis is an X-ray finding of patient who had suffered tuberculosis of lungs indicate residual signs of old insult via pathology. It remains throughout rest of the life of the patient, does not cause other problems and has no treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I have read your query here regarding pulmonary tuberculosis.
* There are healed lung tissue and inter phase of lung lobules which show up as fibrosis in any x-ray following the completion of treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
* These fibrosis do not produce any of the symptoms in future, neither they need any treatment for that.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
