What Does This X-ray Report Indicate?

name: ferdinand t. angel age: 28 height: 154 cm weight: 53 kg my previous x-ray: PTB, Right( May 28, 2015) current result( October 21, 2015) radiologic report: THERE ARE FIBROTIC AND NODULAR DENSITIES IN THE RIGHT UPPER LOBE MOST PROBABLY TUBERCULOUS IN NATURE. THE LUNGS ARE OTHERWISE CLEAR. THE HILAR REGIONS ARE NORMAL. THE HEART IS NORMAL IN SIZE AND CONTOUR. THE DIAPHRAGM, COSTOPHRENIC SULCI AND BONY THORAX ARE NORMAL. THE OTHER VISUALIZED CHEST STRUCTURES ARE UNREMARKABLE. conclusion: PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS OF UNDETERMINED ACTIVITY. ----- how can i have a clear result from chest x-ray because im planning to work abroad? thank you

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
You are tellung tyat previous chest x-ray report has indicated tuberculosis. You have not mentioned weather you have taken the complete treatment regime for that or not.
Present chest x-ray indicates fibrotic and nodulin changes in the upper lobe of right lung. Otherwise, other parts of lung and heart are normal.
Based on x-ray findings, it cannot be concluded weather tuberculosis is still active or not. For that, you need to get tested for tuberculosis by TB-PCR test or Sputum culture.
In case it is active, you have to take a proper course of TB medications for complete cure.
However, most of the lesions in your lungs would clear following treatment but some fibrotic changes taken place would still remain.
Kindly consult Pulmonologist for proper evaluation and management.
