What Does This SGPT Level In Blood Indicate?

Hi Doctor, My child aged 3, male was having pain in stomach frequently, I took him for SGPT & Full lever ultrasound. Ultrasound report said normal , but SGPT was report was 50. Is it serious? Doctor has suggested - syrup of tricholine citrate with sorbitol solution and another one is Tinidazole, diloxanide furoate & simethicone suspension.

I appreciate your concern for the high SGPT level.

Incomplete data like the purpose of giving other treatment, incomplete liver function tests to comment.
It is not a serious finding, nothing to worry.
Normal level of SGPT is 10-30 U/L, so it is slightly raised.

Raised SGPT is suggestive of liver disease (? amoebic liver disease), gall bladder disease, excessive muscle breakdown, etc.

The prescribed medications are for the treatment of amoebiasis.
Let him continue the prescribed treatment & kindly repeat the liver function tests after 4 weeks.
