What Does This MRI Test Result Of Cervical Spine Indicate?
my father is 72 years...he faces problem in 282 swelling on the posterior wall of pharynx for last 10 days. mri of cervical spine was done...report shows that associated large pre vertebral abcess is seen narrowing the oro/hypopharygeal airway.may be surgery will be needed?kindly give me some suggestion..
Yes definitely your father has to go for surgical treatment because his mri report of cervical spine is showing abscess which is obstructing his airway. Immediately consult to any neuro-surgeon and proceed further as per the expert advice. I will suggest you to start some antibiotic at this point of time like tab augmentin 625 mg three times daily or tab linezolid 600 mg twice daily after meals with tab combiflam three times daily or tab ultracet twice daily for pain with tab rabeprazole or cap pantop twice daily empty stomach.
