What Does This MRI Report Of Brain Indicate?

Patient feels dizzy. Says what he sees is not focused properly. The MRI of the brain findings are There is prominence of the ventricles and sulci. There are no masses or shift in midline. On the T2-weighted and FLAIR images, there are a few scattered nonspecific hyperintense white matter foci. There is no restricted diffusion or evidence of an acute infarct. There is no evidence of an acute intracranial bleed. The visualized vasculature maintain a normal signal void. There are no extra-axial fluid collections. There is extensive left frontal, bilateral ethmoid and left maxillary mucoperiosteal thickening. IMPRESSION: PANSINUSITIS.

Hi,
the impression of MRI report is quiet normal brain tissues, arteries and others but there is thickening of bones around all your sinuses. Sinuses are air filled cavities within bones of face and skull and infection to theses areas results in pus formation, inflammation and thickening of bones around in chronic cases. There are four pairs of sinuses and all of them are inflammed in your case as it is written -Pan sinusitis . You will need an antibiotic course and surgical intervention may be suggested.
