What Does This MRI Report Mean?

Wondering if you could give me an interpretation of the following Spinal MRI. MRI results: RADIOLOGISTS FINDINGS: CERVICAL, THORACIC AND LUMBOSACRAL SPINE INCLUDED Alignment is intact Vertebral body height and signal is well preserved throughout the spine. No spinal metastasis identified CERVICAL SPINE: Multilevel degenerative disc disease noted most marked at c5/6 and c6/7 5/6: broad-based disc bulging, more marked on the left and the disc is abutting the adjacent left nerve roots 6/7: disc degeneration with moderate right paracentral disc protrusion extending to the right exit foramen with impingement to the adjacent right nerve roots. THORACIC T7/8 – moderate central disc extrusion noted wich is extending superiorly, posteriorly to the T7 vertebral body. It is indenting the spinal cord. Signal within spinal cord is unremarkable. No evidence of mylomalacia. Apart from disc desiccation, the remaining thoracic discs appear unremarkable. LUMBAR SPINE: Mild multilevel degenerative disc disease noted... L3/4 – Mild broad based disc bulging. No significant foraminal stenosis or nerve root impingement demonstrated. L4/5: Mild disc bulging. No significant foraminal stenosis or nerve root impingement demonstrated. Mild facet joint degeneration noted bilaterally. L5-S1: Mild disc degeneration with mild disc bulging. Disc is extending to exit foramen bilaterally abutting the exiting nerve roots bilaterally. Mild facet joint degeneration bilaterally. Thank you

Welcome at HCM
I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
what is ur age and sex? do u have got pain in ur hands and legs? do u feel any numbness? can u work outdoor activities well? for how long u are suffering from it? any other associated problem? like diabetes or hyptertension?
The MRI report shows the DISC degenerative disease in the cervical spines with disc protrusion compressing the nerve roots, mean , your nerves supplying the upper limbs are getting compression at the cervical roots which is giving u pain in ur upper limbs particulalry in hand s and forearms along with the numbness.
the same phenomenon is also noted the LUMBOSACRAL spines meaning that nerve supplying the your lower limbs particularly at the back are compressed which is giving u pain and the numbness .
rest of the findings are not significant in this context,. there is no metastasis in the bone.
In my opinion you should consult SPINE SURGEON for it. you need to modify ur lifestyle and avoid vigorous activities and bending
take rest and use pain killers along with the muscle relaxants
Use Tab. NUBEROL FORTE two times along with the Cap. THIOLEX4mg at night daily
it will help u relieve pain.
meanwhile stay calm
get well soon
Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask
Regards
Dr Saad Sultan
