What Does This MRI Report Indicate?

Received an MRI with results ofT2 hyperintense lesions in right lobe of liver , no steatosis, with 2 well circumscribed hyperintense lesions 8x8 and 1.2x1 mm with low signal on delayed 20 minute hepatocyte phase images. Also increased signal on T1 in superior pole of left kidney 8x8 mm with simple cortical cyst in mid pole of same, 9mm. No hydronephrosis. Test was done because of chronically low electrolyte levels in bloodwork. Next step?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The MRI shows presence of well-circumscribed lesions in liver and kidney.
The lesion in the kidney is likely to be a cyst which is usually symptomless.
The lesion in the liver needs to be investigated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
