What Does The Ultrasound At 28 Weeks Mean?

I have aquery.I am 28 weeks pregnant and in my recent ultrasound it is shown that the liquor amnii is adequate and AVI is 11.6.Morover,the color doppler shows the S/D of umblical artery to be 3.5 impedance.Plz. guide me what this condition is like.

The amount of amniotic fluid is acceptable in your case. The colour Doppler umbilical artery S/D varies up to 30 weeks. If it is 3.5 at 28 weeks then you may wait till 30 weeks are completed and get it repeated again. Ideally it should be less than 3.0 after 30 weeks. Please discuss with your doctor.
