Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am 31years old recently i went of semen test volume is 2ml liquefaction 30mins total sperm conu:17.6mil/ml active20% sluggish50% non-motile-30% puscells 6-8/hpf morphology normal-65% pinhead-10% giant head-6% curved tail-17% double head-2% can cable to give a child to my wife
Sperm concentration: 15-259 million per ml so you are within normal. Total motility: 40-81% you have 20% active a bit low, Morphology 4-48 % and your is 65% which is normal.
So that only value that is abnormal for you is the motility only 20% is active while the rest is mostly sluggish. This decreases your chances of having a baby. The chance is still there.
But with higher sperm motility the chance will be higher. To improve sperm motility you need to get enough vit D, vit C, Zinc, exercise regularly, relax and minimize stress. Quit smoking if you smoke.
In 3 months after implementing a healthier life style you can redo the test. Higher motility will increase the chances of having a baby.
Make sure to talk to your treating doctor before taking any supplements to avoid overdosing, allergy or drug interactions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal
