What Does The Following Ultrasound Result Indicate?

I had an ultrasound and received the following report. i would like to know what it means as I haven t seen by OB/GYN yet. My LMP was 31/1/15 (EDC 7/11/15). There is a single, viable intrauterine pregnancy. Foetal heart is positive measuring 168bpm. There is a yolk sac. Foetal pole measures 16mm = 8 weeks. Mean sac diameter is 24mm = 7 weeks 3 days. Both adnexa outline normally. There is a small bleed along the fundal aspect of the yolk sac measuring 17mm by length and 2mm by depth. Follow-up examination throughout the pregnancy is suggested. Does this mean I should rest, and abstain from normal activities, or not? What is the risk of miscarriage. I am 37 and this is my fifth pregnancy (three carried to term, one miscarried at 5 weeks in September 2014).

Hello

There is a single intrauterine live fetus with 8 weeks of maturity.
Major finding is presence of small hemorrhage along fundal aspect of the yolk sac.
Generally this condition doesn't require any treatment and it will resolve with passage of time.It generally doesn't interfere with pregnancy.

You should avoid strenuous activity. You also need regular follow up.

Other findings are normal.Fetal heart rate is 168 beats/min.
Both adnexa are also normal.

Take Care
