What Does The Following Semen Analysis Report Indicate?

Result from semen test volume: 2ml colour: Creamy motility: active 10% sluggish cells 20% dead 70%. Morphology: normal cells 30% abnormal cells 70% Count: 26x 10 Pus cells: 4-6hpf Culture: scanty staphylococcus aureus isolated. HIS ON CIPROtab 500mg and doxycycline for 2weeks. Does this mean that we can t conceive at this time and my wife is ovulating in 2 days time. Doctor what do you make out of these and what s your advice to us. Thanks

Your count and morphology of the sperms are suboptimal but that is not the only problem. For this organism-Staphylococcus aureus, please change your antibiotic to Augmentin or Cloxacillin. The sample of semen was given perhaps before the culture and sensitivity report that has been included in this report[Staphylococcus]. So initially Cipro and Doxy were started. Now that the culture report is here it is better to take specific antibiotics as mentioned above.
Although only one sperm is required to conceive, you count and morphology are rather too suboptimal. You can repeat the Semen analysis after clearing of infection. The count and morphology may improve.
