What Does The Following Blood Test Report Indicate?

Hi Doctor, I am an indian studying MS in USA. I visited India just for two weeks and i was very careful about my food intake like bottled water, good ambience restaurant food, etc., Before leaving to USA again, I just wanted to see if I was infeceted in any way and had a blood test. Everything seemed normal but the typhid diutions is 1:80. I do not have any kind of symptoms. Should I worry about this? I had this same exact thing an year back when I visited India. I took medicine for a week just for safety. No symptoms then too. Please suggest.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
H,

Widal test is a very non specific test and hence usually not considered significant without a clinical history as enteric is mostly determined clinically. If no such symptoms are experienced, don't worry about it. For reassurance blood cultures and complete blood count may be considered.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
