What Does The Following Biopsy Report Suggest?

Biopsy tissue- Anterior Abdominal wall abscess The section examined reveal fragments of fibrocollagenous and firboadipose tissue lined by skin. Underlying tissue shows dense inflammatory cell infilterate comprising neutrophils, plasma cells and histiocytes. No evidence of granuloma or malignancy is seen in the sections examined. Special STAINs PAS: Negative GMS: Negative

Hello welcome to the health care magic

Your report showing neutrophils suggest towards acute infective abscess like condition.

For that antibiotic course prescribed for 7-10 days.

Abscess should be drained with incision and drainage and local dressing can be done daily.

No granuloma or any malignancy present, so don't worry.
