What Does The Following MRI Scan Of Brain Indicate?

i have had an mri scan of the brain which showed some gereralisedparachymal volume loss which is a little more than could be expected for my age of 58. the report also mentioned a slight predilection for the superior cerebellar vermis. I dont drink alcohol and wonderered if there is anything for me to worry about. i dont have a good memory or bal;ance but thishas always been the case with me but wondered if there is anything i can do to prevent or slow down any further deterioration or volume loss. many thanks Spencer

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be normal at your age it’s part of aging plus you just take care of diet and lifestyle changes. Eat healthy food and take antioxidants like multivitamins for few days a month and do yoga, meditation has very good effect on it, especially breathing exercises. Until you have any specific symptom it’s normal don’t worry smile more and sleep should be good.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
