What Does The USG Report Regarding Abdomen Indicate?
In the test USG:Whole abdomen of my sister(26) the findings are: Small hypoechoic mass lesion(2.20*2.31 cm) is seen in the posterior wall of the uterus. Adnexae : Small cystic area (3.4*3 cm) with low level echoes within is seen at the right adnexa. What does it mean?
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Small hypoechoic lesion in the posterior wall of the uterus is a small fibroid, which is a benign and common lesion in the uterus. Small cystic areas with low level echoes in the right adenexa is most likely the cyst in the ovarian region. The ovarian cyst can be haemorrhagic cyst, benign or malignant cyst. A detailed transvaginal ultrasound and Doppler study will confirm the nature of the cyst. Hope you found the answer helpful. Regards Dr Deepti Verma OBGYN
